Evan

I met Evan while visiting an antique store with my friend. He had posters promoting National Autism Awareness Month which I thought were cool since I work with students with disabilities, I also loved his Super Mario shirt.

If he could go anywhere, he would love to go to Australia, somewhere exotic and dangerous but also beautiful. He’s spent 2 weeks in Ireland before and says it was not even close to enough; he would go back in a heartbeat.

His grandma was one of the most important people in his life and now that she’s gone, he would choose to spend his 24 hours with her. His advice is to not do what he did. He squandered several very good opportunities when he was younger and regrets not taking some of them.

Chris

Having been to Europe a few years ago to visit Spain, Chris would love to go overseas again to see Scotland. Some of his ancestry traces there and it would be very cool to see the beautiful landscape dotted with ancient castles.

He’s very thankful he gets to spend so much time with people he loves and cares about, but if he could spend 24 hours with anyone it would be his brother. The advice he would give to his younger self would be to do your homework. Things are going well now but things could have been a lot easier if he had worked harder at school in the past.

Josh and Noah

I saw Josh and Noah walking together in the park, he doesn’t play the Saxophone, it's just a prop being used in a video for his girlfriend. Josh would love to visit California soaking in the chill vibes and to spend 24 hours with his friend Noah, something they've already done together. Noah would love to visit Shang Hai China and other parts of Asia; he got the chance to visit Tokyo last year and was amazed at how the city kept going on and on forever. Both said they would advise their younger selves to worry less about what other people think.

Asmodeus

We only had about 90 seconds to talk before he had to run to his bus and I had less then 5 seconds to snap a single photo as he began running away. I asked him about the meaning of his name and he explained that he shares a name with the demon of lust, Asmodeus The King of Demons.

If he could travel anywhere Asmodeus would love to go to Ireland to marvel at the islands lush landscapes. He's also been planning at backpacking trip from Spain to Poland with a few friends of his that he hopes to go on one day. If he could spend 24 hours with anyone it would be his wife, and his advice to himself would be to not worry too much about moving out right away. It led to several complications and was very difficult for him.

Alyssa

As an avid horse rider, Alyssa would love to travel somewhere with mountains to go horse riding, somewhere like Montana. She also has a fondness for Icelandic horses and it would make her happy to see them someday. Given 24 hours with anyone, her choice is to spend it with someone from ancient history; specifically someone from a time and place we don’t have very well documented. She thinks it would be an interesting perspective to ask them what life was really like for people back then?

Alyssa’s advice would be to stop worrying about what other people think of you. In the end it doesn’t matter and there will always be people who don’t like you.

Bryce

After speaking with Brodie, my sister and I left Barnes and Noble and walked around the rest of the mall for a while. Half an hour later we walked very slowly back to Barnes and Noble when I saw Bryce dressed in a super cool outift. If he were able to visit anywhere in the world he would love to visit Seoul, South Korea or Japan and would happily spend 24 hours with his fiancée.

The advice he would give to his younger self is not worry about moving backwards sometimes; It’s important to have faith that things will work out eventually no matter how long it takes or how winding the path is to get there. He loves working with music and has a cool idea for a story about twins and how their lives differ in an effort to reach the same destination.

Brodie

I saw Brodie’s purple shoes as I was walking around Barnes and Noble and I thought they were the coolest things ever. After saying hello he enthusiastically agreed to be a part of the project! He would love to visit Papua New Guinea someday and is very interested in world history and linguistics. Brodie would love to travel around the world and is very interested in learning foreign languages of the countries he wants to travel to before he visits them.

If he could spend 24 hours with anyone it would be his father and his advice to his younger self would be to take his time and think through things more.

Gwen

The first stranger I asked rejected me. Pushing past that, I kept walking and saw Gwen sitting on her own at a table in the nursing center. I walked past nervously, then a few seconds later turned around and walked back to introduce myself. She had amazing tattoos on her arms and long orange hair reminding me of a druid from D&D.

Gwen has been many places around the world, but if she could go anywhere, she would love to travel to New Zealand. If she could visit anyone it would be her father overseas in England. He’s getting on in years and she doesn’t know when or if she’ll be able to see him again?

If she could give any advice to her younger self, it would be to trust her own perspective. She’s taken a lot of advice from other people that has led her on paths she didn’t want to go down. She’s learned that her own judgment is the most important thing to trust when making decisions about her own life.
