Why hello there sailor, glad to have you aboard my beautiful ship, The Sundown Selkie; named after my two favorite things, mermaids and woman that turn into seals. My name is Captain Simmon Seawater, Seawater for short. Now listen up, I run a tight ship here and that means no funny business! I'm just kidding, in all seriousness, it’s very nice to meet you.

Some things you should know about me include that one of my favorite colors is pink, though I’m also quite fond of blue and yellow as they remind me of Van Gogh paintings. Too bad my time machine is on the fritz at the moment and we’re stuck in 1723. I asked Calico Jack if he knew anyone who could fix it but of course he didn’t, running away with that bonny lass and getting themselves into trouble. Sadly they both died a few years ago. My other favorite colors are brown and yellow because I got sorted as a Hufflepuff in Wizarding school.

I don’t have a camera at the moment so I’m resorting to using an old painting as my profile picture. As soon as my time machine is fixed, I’m hoping I’ll be able to step in front of a camera; I’ve never had a photo taken of just myself before. From what I was told, the painting is of someone named Chris, a bit of a tomboy. I find her rebellion very attractive, Chris always reminds me of a ballad about Anne Bonney with the line “They dressed me as a tom”. Anne’s dad dressed her as a boy because he was embarrassed of her. Even in the present day, 1898, the term is still used to define a girl who dresses and acts like a boy. More assertive, less dainty. Girls like that are awesome, at least to me anyway.
